Samuel Bruneau, CEO, Co-Founder

Mr. Bruneau is Taiga's Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder. He co-founded Taiga in September 2015 with a vision to revolutionize the powersports industry with electric vehicles that outperform peers without sacrificing the environment. In his capacity as Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, he is responsible for the general direction and management of Taiga and contributes to the design and development of Taiga's products. Mr. Bruneau has valuable experience with the design, development and manufacturing of electrical powersport vehicles and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from McGill University.

Paul Achard, Chief Development Officer, Co-Founder

Mr. Achard is Taiga’s Chief Vehicle Development Officer and Co-Founder. He is responsible for overseeing the development of Taiga’s vehicle platforms and their introduction into the manufacturing stage Prior to co-founding Taiga, he worked at ERFT Composites as a designer of composite tooling from June, 2014 to December, 2014. Mr. Achard holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University.

Gabriel Bernatchez, Chief Technology Officer, Co-Founder

Mr. Bernatchez is Taiga’s Chief Technical Officer and Co-Founder. He is responsible for leading powertrain design, testing and performance. Mr. Bernatchez holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University with a concentration in robotics and electronical powertrains. Mr. Bernatchez has an intense passion for electric vehicles and prior to joining Taiga built electronics and software for electric race cars from scratch.

Eric Bussières, CFO

Eric Bussières joins Taiga with nearly three decades of experience in finance and M&A. Having served in senior finance leadership positions since 2005, Eric Bussières is a recognized, results-driven and strategic leader. Prior to his appointment, Eric Bussières served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Uni-Select, where he managed the accounting, investor relations, tax, corporate finance, risk management and treasury departments of a $1.7 billion corporation with over 4,000 employees. Eric Bussières also spent over 10 years with CAE, a global leader in civil aviation, security, and healthcare services, where he held various positions that culminated in the role of Vice President Finance, Simulation Products, Civil Training and Services.

Jacques Demont, CCO

Mr. Demont joined Taiga as its Chief Commercial Officer. He has extensive management experience. Before joining Taiga, he worked as a Country Director for Tesla from November 2017 to 2020, where he led Tesla's business development in the French market. Prior to joining Tesla, he worked from November 2015 to October 2017 at Tissot SA as a Head of Zones (Europe & Americas) where he was leading and coordinating Tissot72 SA's global sales plans and strategy in these markets. From 2009 to 2014, Mr. Demont became the President of Nespresso Canada after having held the position of International Retail Manager with Nestlé Nespresso SA from 2006 to 2009. He holds a degree from the Business School Lausanne as well as a Certificate in organizational leadership from the London Business School.

Anne Plamondon, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

Anne Plamondon joins Taiga with more than two decades of experience in the legal field. Anne brings strong experience in high growth startups as well as global mature organisations with major achievements in financings, acquisitions and securities. Anne has been recognized as a high impact leader with strong business knowledge. Prior to joining Taiga, Anne served as the Head of Legal at Element AI between 2017 and 2021, where she managed the legal affairs of the company and its subsidiaries located in Europe, Asia and North America. Prior to joining Element AI, Anne was Senior Legal Counsel at La Coop fédérée (now Sollio Cooperative Group) between 2015 and 2017. Anne received her Juris Doctor in Common Law at the University of Montreal and her Bachelor of Laws at Laval University. She has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 2000.
